Factions are fairly different from towns. Factions are groups of people that have the same aspect of the apocalypse or goal in the apocalypse. There are currently a few factions to get us started off, but more can be founded by players as they go through the apocalypse
These are the good guys turned bad. Members of the CDC knows it was their research that started the apocalypse, and they`re CEO has adopted it and focused their resources on searching the toxin that evolved from their labs. However since the start of the apocalypse, their presence is rarely seen as most agents are hidden amongst the survivors, with orders to hide their affiliation to study the apocalypse. Do to the currently destruction of the headquarters, the location of their main base of operations is unknown, and have no official base.
The New Californian Army was formed with the remnants of the original US Army in the California area, and some of the survivors who had prove themselves worthy. They themselves don`t know about the secret that the CDC holds, nor have they had contact with them since the apocalypse started. Being members of the US Army, most people here are in the best physical condition they can be in and possess some great skills. However, they are not respected as a national authority after the apocalypse started. Also, they lost most of their equipment including all their military people at the start of the apocalypse.
So you want to create a faction? Great! There are a couple of things you'll need to know before you start though. You must first purchase a faction from the OOC shop and wait for an admin to approve your order. Then the admin will contact you ask you to fill out a small questionnaire about your faction and make sure you meet the faction requirements listed below.

~Have Three Members Willing To Join
Once these requirements are filled, as well as your form filled out that has been given by the admin, you will be added to the official factions list.
